Device Description Language

Overview

DDL is an XML-encoded mark up language that defines sensors, actuators and more complex devices. It provides an ˇ°electronic datasheetˇ± for devices that are readable to both human and machines. It bridge between the physical and the digital world in programmable pervasive spaces and enables automatic integration of devices. DDL enables a uniform schema to describe sensors and devices and defines a proposal to the Service Oriented Device Architecture (SODA) standard.
