Sensory Dataset Description Language (SDDL)
Overview
Sensory Dataset Description Language (SDDL) v1.0 is an XML-encoded
description language for characterizing sensory data generated and collected from
real pervasive space deployments. SDDL v1.0 is driven by case studies and analysis of existing datasets
owned by research collaborators. It is also intended to encourage simulation and dataset synthesis techniques either from scratch or based on exisiting datasets. The scope of this description language is to specify
collective information corresponding to the pervasive space, available
sensors/actuators, dataset parameters, sensor event, among other parameters. The ultimate goal of SDDL is sharing and interoperability among members of the research
community. SDDL is one outcome of a larger research project called
PerSim which aims to generate synthetic data for pervasive spaces using several simulation techniques.
